First off: comments are working! This weekend, I’m thinking of doing a little bit of a self-challenge, and seeing if I can finish a short story in one weekend. It’s not really that I need to push myself to finish things, but I should actually be working on Book 2 at the moment, so I’d feel less guilty if I only stole two days away from it to do other projects. We shall see. I’ve begun inauspiciously, in that I decided to have some wine to celebrate the first full week of work after our company was bought out, with its many confusions over billing and such. I don’t know that it makes me a better or worse writer, but it does make me much like Doug, from Up. I’ll be writing just fine (leave the typos to be fixed late–SQUIRREL
I think you can figure out on your own that the internet is very, VERY full of squirrels. I start with good intentions, but then no writing really quite gets done…
Anyway. You, my blog audiences, are my witnesses! I will do my best to finish the short story by the time I’m in bed Sunday, come hell or squirrels in the tubes!
