A Quiet 2019: Where to find my work

I’ve been looking ahead to the coming year, and with one novel at the discovery draft stage (a space opera) and one at the final revision stage (a weird western) as well as numerous short stories and novellas at all stages of development… I think it’s a year to focus on getting words down rather than on cons and being on the internet. I will still be attending a few local cons, which my appearances page, above, has been updated to reflect. I’ll also probably still indulge in the burbling of everyday life, over on my Twitter (@rhiannonheld), but I’ll definitely be more scarce.

Thus! If you’re landing on this page sometime around the middle of 2019, I wanted to give you a handy-dandy guide to finding pieces I’ve written that might interest you! (You can also find comprehensive listings at all the links above.)

Whatever happened with your Silver series? Good question, hypothetical reader! It is now complete, at five books. The reading order is SILVER, TARNISHED, REFLECTED, WOLFSBANE, and DEATH-TOUCHED, with a bonus collection, LADY’S CHILDREN. (Links are to ebooks; for print, see the “Books” link above.)

Are there audiobooks? There are indeed! GraphicAudio has released the first four, and the fifth and final one is out June 10, 2019!

I’m looking for a stand-alone rather than a series. Got anything for me? I have two books for you! HOUND AND KEY has magic based on ancient myths and tales and MIRROR BOUND is basically Buffy from Anya’s POV with shape-changers and mirror magic. (Links to are to ebooks; for print, see the “Books” link above.)

I like weird westerns! That’s not a question, but I can still help you! My weird western short story, Red Dreams, is available online to read for free.

I hear you’re a professional archaeologist, and also I’m aware I shouldn’t make an Indiana Jones joke, so I’m just going to ask straight-out if I can get any archaeology in your writing. I appreciate your forbearance! LADY’S CHILDREN has a novella chock full of compliance archaeology (What’s compliance archaeology? Read the novella!) that has werewolves doing archaeology, and a human doing archaeology about werewolves and basically all the historical investigations you could ever wish for.

I hope those answered all of your questions, but if they didn’t, feel free to come find me on Twitter or send me an email!

  1. Is your space opera going to be published under the name Rhiannon Held or R.Z. Held?
I hope to get a photo of you at Norwescon

    1. Rhiannon

I’ll be shopping my space opera under the name R. Z. Held, but we’ll see how any potential publishers feel about it! I’m glad you were able to get your photo at Norwescon!
