Sometimes I fail to understand advertising. Since I was away at con, I didn’t cook this weekend, and I decided I’d just pick up a package of breaded fish for dinners. Now, I am not proud. I do not care if my breaded fish comes in the form of sticks, and dinosaurs would be a bonus. All I ask is that it doesn’t have enough fat and sodium to stop my heart right there, and unfortunately that means I have to buy the boring adult packages. Health is apparently boring and adult.<\/p>\n
So I have “Breaded Fish Fillets” (“Cut from whole fillets!”) I don’t quite understand the point of the second part (Ground from real steak!) but I suppose it does make for a less homogenized taste. I think they must have thought the box looked too spartan, though. It has “Guaranteed Fresh Taste!” “in the Freshness Pouch”.<\/p>\n
The Freshness Pouch, eh? Might that be…a plastic bag?? I’m glad that like every single other food product sold in a cardboard box that I can immediately think of, my fish is also contained in plastic.
